Carbondale Arts brings the community together on First Friday, November 1st for the annual celebration of Dia De Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Festivities start at 5pm at the Third Street Center (TSC) for altar viewing, face painting, Mexican hot chocolate, and traditional treats. Cyclocross is a mixture of grass, pavement and dirt, featuring obstacles and dismounts that require shouldering the bike, on a closed course of 1-2 miles. Racers will complete as many laps as possible during the given time for each category.Find out more »
Youngsters can visit with Santa and give him their wish lists in the warmth of The Launchpad. Santa will be at the Launchpad from 3:00 until 7:00 pm. The Launchpad will also feature classic holiday movies and enjoy holiday shopping at the Deck the Walls holiday market in the R2 Gallery.
Santa will take his sleigh to perform his magic and light up the trees and holiday lights on Main Street. Santa’s first stop will be at the large tree on Main Street & Weant Boulevard near the Forest Service building around 5:15 pm. The Roaring Fork High School Chamber Choir will get everyone in the spirit with some acapella carols. “Oh Christmas Tree” will start the festivities and when the holiday spirit reaches its crescendo, Santa will start the countdown and magically illuminate all the lights on the trees on Main Street.Find out more »

The course is an out and back affair, starting behind the store on the Rio Grande Trail. From there, the race course weaves through town and eventually crests White Hill, where it turns around and heads back to the store.Find out more »
