Fourth of July Old Fashioned Family Parade

Celebrate  July 4^th  in Carbondale with a real old fashioned family parade. The festivities begin with the 46th annual kid’s parade down Carbondale’s main street at 10:30 am.

Hey Kids, why watch a parade when you can be in one! The kid’s parade showcases all kids, from strollers to striders, unicycles to three wheelers, roller skates to skateboards. Come in costume, decorate your bike, wear a uniform, play an instrument, do a routine. Parade staging will begin at 10:00-10:15 am on the corner of 2^nd and main street in the following order:

Group 1:  flag bearers, fire engines, emergency vehicles

Group 2: Kids on wheeled motorized or electric powered vehicles

Group 3: Kids on wheeled non-motorized vehicles

Group 4: Kids, walking, skipping or dancing

Group 5: adults & animals on leashes

The parade heads west on Main Street from 2^nd Street and makes a left turn onto Weant Blvd. and ends in Sopris Park.
