This year, we’ve expanded our hot rod entrants to include classic cars, motorcycles, electric cars & bikes, and more! Vehicles will be on display in the heart of Carbondale’s Creative District on Main Street from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with clean up promptly before 9 pm; Main Street must be fully accessible by 9 pm.
Healing Hoof-It, a walk celebrating the helping horses who help humans heal, begins at the Gus Darien Riding Arena Rodeo Grounds at 5pm, followed by a parade down main Street, and celebration at 5:45 in the 4th Street Plaza.Find out more »

Imagine up to 100 big, multi-colored rubber balls being shuffled by youth soccer players down Main Street in downtown Carbondale during First Friday on September 6th!
Get ready for the second Running of the Balls, brought to you by Ace Hardware of Carbondale and benefiting Carbondale Rotary! Carbondale Arts brings the community together on First Friday, November 1st for the annual celebration of Dia De Los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Festivities start at 5pm at the Third Street Center (TSC) for altar viewing, face painting, Mexican hot chocolate, and traditional treats. Youngsters can visit with Santa and give him their wish lists in the warmth of The Launchpad. Santa will be at the Launchpad from 3:00 until 7:00 pm. The Launchpad will also feature classic holiday movies and enjoy holiday shopping at the Deck the Walls holiday market in the R2 Gallery.
Santa will take his sleigh to perform his magic and light up the trees and holiday lights on Main Street. Santa’s first stop will be at the large tree on Main Street & Weant Boulevard near the Forest Service building around 5:15 pm. The Roaring Fork High School Chamber Choir will get everyone in the spirit with some acapella carols. “Oh Christmas Tree” will start the festivities and when the holiday spirit reaches its crescendo, Santa will start the countdown and magically illuminate all the lights on the trees on Main Street.Find out more »
