About Farm Fest

Farm Fest is a new tradition in Carbondale, an event where we celebrate our land, our heritage, and the spirit of our town. Farm Fest is a celebration of the changing of seasons, bringing a spotlight to Carbondale’s agricultural heritage through local food and flavors and farm visitor experiences.

This weekend-long event will include a celebration of local flavors throughout Carbondale’s vibrant restaurant community, farm activities, ranch tours, and recreational activities, a night farmers market in downtown Carbondale, plus a community harvest lunch at Spring Creeks Ranch featuring a line-up of local food champions who will create a feast from produce sourced throughout the Roaring Fork Valley and Western Colorado.

Farm Fest is a series of activations and events designed to connect residents and visitors with the agricultural heritage through flavors on their plates and in their glasses. The new community event replaces a previous Carbondale tradition of Oktoberfest with a new way to embrace the changing of seasons and harvest time in Colorado. Farm Fest will showcase and promote small agricultural businesses, food producers, and restaurants, tell their stories and highlight their connection to regional heritage.

Funds raised from the event passholder sales and partnerships will be used to launch a new tourism grant program for local agricultural and food businesses as well as a scholastic scholarship awarded to Colorado Mountain College’s Sustainability Studies Program.
