Potato Day is the longest standing annual community event in Carbondale! Since 1909, local farming and ranching families have kept local traditions alive with a parade, BBQ, potato sack races, and other fun activities that will take place in Sopris Park. Meet the Ghosts of Potato Days Past and hear their stories as told by costumed actors playing the part of Carbondale's early pioneers. Tours are scheduled every 15 minutes, starting at 6pm. The Thompson House Museum is located at 301 Lewies Lane, north of River Valley Ranch in Carbondale.

Carbondale Historical Society
Celebrate the Irish by enjoying authentic beers and wines, Celtic dancing and music. Switch gears the next day with an atmosphere jam-packed with German food and spirits, root beer, music, children's activities, friends, and fun! Sponsored by the Carbondale Recreation Department.
