Virtual Edition, Holding Out & Holding On Together

This month’s First Friday event will again be mostly virtual. See below for a list of activities on Friday evening.
- Steve’s Guitars is streaming live music (7:30 PM) in the Dinkel Building in Historic downtown Carbondale. They will not have a live audience but you can view a live stream here – www.grassrootstv.org. The Tyler Rust Band is made up of two guitar players, Tyler Rust & Jake Statler. Both grew up in Rifle, CO. Their style of music would be in the Country/ Blue Grass/ Folk genres.

Join Philip Tarlow and Natasha Seedorf in person THIS First Friday, August 7, at 5:30pm for an outdoor and socially distanced artist talk. The R2 Gallery will remain open until 7:00pm for visitors to enjoy the exhibitions (up to 10 at a time inside the gallery), which are both on display through August 28.
Though there will be no formal opening receptions for any exhibitions for the foreseeable future, we hope you will continue to support the artists featured in the R2 Gallery and Artique gift shop. Remember Me by Jennifer Arnold will be on display in the satellite Orange Gallery from Aug 7th – 22nd. Jennifer has been a Resident Artist at Carbondale Clay Center since September of 2019. This exhibition is a culmination of her 1-year residency and showcases her fabulous ceramic works! Not to be missed!
The gallery will be open to the public Tuesday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm. Due to the size of the space, please, only one person at a time when viewing the exhibition.
