The Carbondale Creative District and KDNK Community Access Radio are pleased to announce Hootenanny on Friday, August 10th. Erika Ryann from Larkspur will open the festivities at 6pm. Food and brews from the valley will be available, with proceeds benefitting KDNK. The concert will be free.
The event celebrates the 2 year anniversary of the state certification of Carbondale’s Creative District. “The Creative District process has brought us all together in a stronger, collaborative way,” Amy Kimberly, Executive Director of Carbondale Arts explained, “And community control of our airwaves is important.” KDNK Station Manager Gavin Dahl added, “We are proud to be broadcasting from the heart of Carbondale’s Creative District, and looking forward to celebrating together as a community.”
The celebration will include creativity in all colors including Rosybelle, the mobile maker bus, interactive installations and lots of community. The event starts at 5 pm on the 4th Street Plaza in the core of The Carbondale Creative District. No advance tickets are required. More info at carbondalecreativedistrict.com.
