Education

The Roaring Fork School District (RFSD) schools in Carbondale feature new or enlarged facilities for students attending one of four campuses, including a K-8 public charter school. A new district-wide, high-challenge learning center currently is under development in Carbondale. The schools are known for small class sizes, highly qualified teachers, individualized learning opportunities and student academic growth rates that rival any top-notch school in the state. The local schools support the district mission statement: “Together with family and community, all students learn to meet the challenges of life.”

Crystal River Elementary School (CRES)

Mount Sopris Montessori School

Roaring Fork High School (RFHS)
