"Turning the Future into Revenue:  What Businesses Need to Know to Shape Their Futures"

On Tuesday, September 23, from 8:00am to noon, we will host our 2008 Annual Business Conference at the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection Training Center. Glen Hiemstra, Founder & Owner of Futurist.com and author of Turning the Future into Revenue will explore the drivers of future change.  With an equal emphasis on future trends, processes, skills and models of thinking about and shaping the future, he will show us how to approach future planning with an effective long-range view, while harnessing the potential of the possibilities in front of us right now.

Business of the Year: Nominate the Carbondale Chamber Business of the Year.  The Carbondale Chamber will honor the business member that best explemifies a combination of quality products and/or services, exceptional customer satisfaction, community service, a meaningful employee benefits program, and recognition of employees for dedication and a work ethic above expectations.  The spirit of the award is to recognize the business that has a history of outstanding practices in the Carbondale community and to honor entreprenuership, productivity, sustainability, and effort.  The business must be a Carbondale Chamber member in good standing.  Call the Chamber at 963-1890, email pamela@carbondale.com or click here to download a business nomination form.

Tickets: Advance tickets are now on sale from the Chamber Office and are $65 for members/$80 for non-members.  Tickets will be priced at $80 for members at the door and $90 for non-members at the door.
