Recreation Department

Carbondale's very active Recreation Department puts on special events, runs seasonal sports programs and field trips for children and adults, maintains the town's trails, parks (including the North Face skatepark) and pool (located right downtown). Stop by to visit the friendly staff at Carbondale's Recreation Center, 567 Colorado Avenue, or call 970-704-4190 to request a Recreational Brochure.

Mountain Parent magazine, a bimonthly publication for families who reside in and visit the Roaring Fork Valley, has a comprehensive website detailing family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities in Carbondale and the surrounding area.  Check out Mountain Parent's current list of activities.  Every spring the magazine publishes a Summer Camp Guide.
