Happy March!
Why wait for summer to enjoy the
warm weather, great events and entertainment, and an abundance of
outdoor activities? While the high-mountain resort towns are still
muddy, Carbondale has terrific things to do in Spring.
The First Friday Art Walk highlights the innovative art
around town with gallery openings, open houses, and other events in and
near historic downtown.
From May 8 to 10 the 5Point Film Festival will debut a five-star roster
of adventure films, panel discussions, awards, and receptions to
inspire the outdoor enthusiast. Enjoy on that weekend the Dandelion Day & Flea Market with a parade and
activities on the streets.
On May 17 the popular Cajun Clay Night will have people lining up at the
door to claim a hand-made clay cup to be filled with gumbo. A costume
contest, alligator cake, drinks, and live music complete the night.
